We had my company's children's Christmas party on the 6th. It was a big hit, and I only wish I had more pictures of it.
If you ask Landon, about the party, he will talk in length about the "pock-own." Apparently an inadvertant highlight of the day.

And because we are mean inattentive parents who just stood on the sideline and watched, while our son figured out on his own how to play with snow, he made friends with an older Asian woman who loosened the snow for him. (And her own grandchild.) In all honestly he wasn't that keen on the snow to begin with. But man on man, did he love the pock-own.

*Sigh* I wish we had a children's Christmas party. I skipped our party at work this year because children were specifically forbidden from attending.
I'm willing to get dressed up and stand around with the same people I see 40 hours a week anyway, but I'll be darned if I'm hiring a babysitter and messing up my children's sleep schedules to do it.
Thats really neat they have a party specifically for the kids..I had a eureka moment when I saw the last photo and knew what "pock-own" was :)
My company actually holds 2 Christmas parties, one for adults only and one for the children.
They actually also hand out $50 to everyone before the adult one, to help defray the costs of attending (i.e. hiring a baby sitter, or valet parking, etc.) We generally take the $50, and go out on a date rather than to the party, although we also have a multitude of free babysitters to choose from.
I wish I could go to that party. Sounds way more happening than the adult version, right?
